Ordering & Payments
What’s the easiest way to place an order?
For many of our cakes, desserts, cookies, pastries, and other products, the easiest option is to order directly through our website.
For a custom design, or if you’d prefer some help, you can also call, email, or visit our Eastern bakery. Our team can help determine the best ordering option based on what you’re looking for.
How far in advance should I place my order?
We can often accommodate same-day orders through our Eastern bakery or for local delivery, depending on availability. For cake orders, we recommend giving us at least 24–48 hours whenever possible, and orders through our Dessert Shop locations generally require at least 72 hours.
For more detailed custom designs, weddings, and other involved orders, 2–3 months in advance is ideal, although we can often accommodate shorter timelines. As you explore our website, you may also see lead-time notes on certain designs showing how much advance notice they typically require.
Lead times can vary depending on the season, design, and our production schedule, so as a general rule, more time is always better. But if your event is coming up soon, please still reach out — we’ll always do our best to find an option that works.
Can I customize my order?
In most cases, yes. Simple requests such as adding writing or changing a color can often be included in the special instructions when you order. For more involved changes or specific design questions, contact us at info@freedsbakery.com or (702) 456-7762 and our team can help.
When is my order confirmed?
Your order is considered a price quote until the required deposit has been made. A quote does not reserve your event date or guarantee production availability until payment has been received.
Quotes are valid for 60 days, but our production schedule can change and dates may fill during that time. Any remaining balance must be paid in full at least two weeks before the event date.
Can I make changes to my order after it has been placed?
Whenever possible, we’re happy to help with changes.
Requests for changes made within one week of the event date may be subject to a fee. We are generally unable to accommodate changes within three days of the event.
What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that plans can change, and we’ll always do our best to be as helpful as possible.
Because time and preparation are often committed well in advance of an event, cancellations made within two weeks of the event date are subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
Cancellations made within one week of the event date are subject to a charge of 50% of the order value.
For cancellations made within three days of the event date, we’re unable to offer a refund.
If something comes up, please reach out to us as soon as possible so we can review the options with you.
Custom Cakes
How do I get a quote for a custom cake?
The best way to receive an accurate quote is to contact us by email or through our Contact Us page. Please include your event date, approximately how many guests you’d like to serve, and any photos or inspiration you have for the design.
Can I send you photos for inspiration?
Absolutely. A picture really is worth a thousand words when it comes to custom cakes.
We encourage you to send photos, screenshots, color ideas, invitations, or other inspiration that helps our cake consultants understand the look you’re going for. We’ll use those references to help create a design for your celebration.
Can you put an edible photo or printed image on a cake?
Yes. We offer cakes with edible printed images, and many designs can be customized using edible photos or artwork.
Cake Tastings
How do I schedule a cake tasting?
Cake tastings are available at our Eastern location and include dedicated time with one of our cake consultants. We can sometimes accommodate walk-in tastings, but availability is not guaranteed, so we highly recommend making an appointment in advance.
We also offer a to-go tasting sampler if you’d prefer to enjoy the tasting on your own schedule.
Pickup & Local Delivery
Can I pick up my order at any Freed’s location?
It depends on the item. Some designs are available exclusively through our Eastern bakery, while others can be ordered for pickup at multiple Freed’s locations.
When browsing a product or design online, look for the blue pickup-location box on the product page. It will tell you which locations are available for that particular item.
What do I need when picking up my order?
Please have your order confirmation or invoice number available when you arrive.
If someone else will be picking up your order, forward them your confirmation email or provide them with the invoice number so our team can locate and verify the order.
Do you offer delivery?
Yes. We offer local delivery throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Delivery pricing is based on the ZIP code of the destination, and we require a three-hour delivery window during which someone is available to receive the cake.
Nationwide Shipping
Do you ship outside of Las Vegas?
Yes. We currently offer nationwide shipping on a selection of our cookies. We’ll also be partnering with Goldbelly soon to offer nationwide shipping on a selection of Freed’s cakes and cookies.
How does nationwide shipping work?
For our current nationwide cookie shipping, the shipping date selected at checkout is the date the order is scheduled to leave the bakery, not necessarily the date it will arrive.
Cookies are fragile, so some breakage can occur during transit. We strongly discourage ground shipping chocolate-containing cookies during hot weather, particularly when temperatures reach 80°F or higher, because the chocolate may melt. Orders are generally able to ship beginning the next business day, and processing time is separate from the transit estimates shown at checkout.
We’re unable to ship to P.O. Boxes, and all carrier delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees.
As we expand nationwide shipping through Goldbelly to include select cakes and additional products, shipping details and policies may vary by item and will be reflected on the applicable ordering page.
Storage & Serving
How should I store and serve my cake?
All cakes should be kept refrigerated until you’re preparing to serve them.
For cakes finished with our European buttercream, we recommend allowing the cake time outside the refrigerator to warm and soften before serving. Buttercream is best enjoyed when it has had a chance to come closer to room temperature.
Cakes made with whipped cream should remain refrigerated and be taken out shortly before serving.
How should I store cookies?
Most of our cookies can be stored at room temperature. If a particular product requires different storage, follow the instructions provided with your order.
Allergies & Dietary Requests
Do you offer products for guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions?
We offer a variety of products, including some items we describe as gluten-sensitive because the recipe does not contain gluten ingredients. However, all of our products are prepared in a shared bakery environment, so cross-contact is possible.
Freed’s offers products containing peanuts, tree nuts, soy, milk, eggs, wheat, and sesame. We cannot guarantee that any of our products are safe to consume for people with any of these allergies.
If you have a specific dietary or ingredient question, please contact us before ordering.
