We ordered this as a 1/4-sheet cake for my dad's 90th birthday celebration, and it served our group of 17 people. 10/10 superb! The cake was rich moist chocolate, light and fluffy, with just the right amount of real cherry filling, the frosting was creamy, airy, and smooth, and the chocolate curls on top were yummy. It didn't weigh anyone down, and everyone wanted a 2nd taste of cake at the end of the day! Ellia took my phone order, patiently answered all my questions, gave wonderful advice about a round cake vs. a 1/4-sheet cake, and she meticulous and friendly during the ordering process. At pickup, the cake was gorgeous, looked exactly as described, and it was a stunner at the birthday party. Thank you, Freed's, for being the BEST at what you do!
While the cake was beautiful and did taste good it but the cake it self was very dry, which was surprising with the cordial

This is the best black forest cake I've ever had. The chocolate is so rich and the frosting was amazing and the fact that they used real cherries instead of just cherry flavored filling is a huge plus. I've never enjoyed a slice of cake more than I enjoyed this slice

Love the black forest cake. My absolute favorite is the amaretto almond cake. My family and I would absolutely love if you made individual slices so that we won’t have to buy an entire cake only for birthdays. I understand that there’s a trial of the amaretto almond cupcakes, but honestly, the ratio of ingredients is not as good as your cakes. Please please please sell individual slices. For sure it’s the best cake that you bake. 😁
It was lacking filling. The cake was crumbly and was missing the layer of cherries. Very underwhelming.

It’s been my favourite for years. The sponge is very light and fluffy. Flavour is just sweet enough but not too much. Honestly, the only way you could make this better would be to add more cherry/whipped cream layers or even a chocolate ganache. Thanks for making every birthday and sad day delicious!

Cake was semi-moist. Good ratio of cake to cream and flavors -- Cherry, chocolate, cream and cake. Could use just a touch less of sweetness.

Devils chocolate and raspberry is a game changer
This cake is rivaled by very few. As one of my favorites I regularly try others, but I always come back to Freeds Black Forest.
I've tried many cakes in my life, but I can always say I'll come back for a Black Forest cake. The flavor is unmatched; I love the chocolate chips, the white frosting is delicious and perfectly sweet.
Normally the cake slices I pick up are sensational. This one fell below the mark because I think perhaps it had been out too long? I bought it right about Noon that day. Both the edges and the inside were dry for what is normally a very moist cake.
I’m from Germany and I wanted to try this cake, I have try other ones different places. I was pleasantly surprised how delicious and tasty this cake is. This cake is amazing!just like I remember from home in Germany. Absolutely delicious! Spot on just like you would get it in my homeland. I absolutely recommend you try it !
