I was SO excited for this cake! I lived in Vegas for 16 years and LOVED Fred’s cakes!! How could you not? I recently bought a vacation condo in Vegas after decades of being away and for my first bday celebration there I of course was beyond excited for a freeda cake!! I flew in and picked it up on our way to the condo. It looked beautiful Od asked for buttercream frosting. The cake it self was ok but the frosting tasted like wax, it was awful! I wanted to cry but it’s just cake lol grocery store cake it is after this 🫠

I ordered this cake for my adult sisters birthday and she loved it. It was soft, with the perfect amount of sweetness and had no overpowering flavors (something that is rare to find). A fine balance was established between the raspberry puree, the chocolate, and the Bavarian creme. A 10 inch round is surprisingly large and satisfied a family of five with about 3/8 of the cake left. Freeds has always exceeded my expectations and this was no different, as I have been attending their bakeries since I came to Vegas nearly 30 years ago. The online ordering went off without a hitch, love this place and love their desserts!
