LAS VEGAS - Take a stroll down memory lane with Freed’s Bakery and become eligible to win free cake for life! Freed’s Bakery invites all its loyal customers to submit a photo capturing their favorite Freed’s memory to its “Best Freed’s Photo” contest. Customers can submit a photo at either of the Freed’s Bakery locations or by email at info@freedsbakery.com. The contest will run through October 10 and marks the first event in honor of the bakery’s 50th anniversary serving Las Vegas.
 
Freed’s creations have served as showpieces for weddings, parties and other special occasions since the bakery’s founding. The photo contest, which started May 1, will illustrate the past 50 years of Freed’s celebrations all over town. Customers can submit photos of events throughout their lives that feature a Freed’s creation.

The top two winners will each receive a Freed’s cake on their birthday for life, and runners up will win an assortment of treats from the bakery. All winning photographs will be published on the bakery’s Web site, www.freedsbakery.com.

1. HOW TO ENTER: Promotion starts on 5/1/2009, 8 a.m. (PST) and ends 10/10/2009, 11:59 p.m. (PST). To enter, visit either of the two Freed’s locations, 4780 S. Eastern Ave. or 9555 S. Eastern Ave. or email info@freedsbakery.com and submit photos with entry form available on the Web site or in store. Completed entries, including entry form, must be received by the entry deadline. Emailed photos should be attached in jpeg format with a minimum size of 1MB and a max size of 8MB. Please note, PHOTOS WILL NOT BE RETURNED, so please submit copies only.

2. ELIGIBILITY: Entrants must be 18 years of age at time of entry. All children’s photos must be submitted and signed off on by parents or guardians 18 years or older.

3. SELECTION: Finalists will be selected by Freed’s Bakery from the completed entry forms. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The finalists will be notified by mail, email and/or phone no later than 11/1/2009.

4. PRIZE: Two (2) Grand Prize winners will receive a Freed’s cake each year on their birthday for life. Retail value of prize package not to exceed $125 dollars per year, for no more than 125 years or as long as Freed’s bakery remains open for business. Category winners shall receive one free Freed’s cake, not to exceed $100. Prize consists of only those items specifically listed above as part of the prize.

5. GENERAL RULES: Employees of Freed’s Bakery, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate family members and/or those living in same household of each are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law. No cash equivalents, substitution or transfer of prize permitted by winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize of equal or greater value. All federal, state and local taxes are sole responsibility of winner. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. No correspondence regarding the contest and random selection of the winning entry will be acknowledged or entered into. Winner must execute an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release, and where permitted by law, Publicity Release within ten (10) days after receipt of first notification attempt. Noncompliance within this time period may result in disqualification in which case an alternate will be selected. By entering the random drawing and/or accepting prize, entrant grants permission to Sponsor and its agencies to use winner’s photo, name(s) and/or likeness, photo(s) and testimonial(s) for purposes of advertising/trade, including right to own, reproduce, alter, amend, edit, publish and use any testimonial, without further compensation to entrant, unless prohibited by law. By accepting prize, winner agrees to hold Sponsor, their respective directors, officers, employees and assigns, harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of this random drawing and use of the prize. Winner assumes all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this promotion or use/redemption of any prize. Entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules.

The random drawing and all matters relating to this promotion are final and binding. Sponsor is not responsible for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry registration, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind, or inaccurate transmissions of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor or presenter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof.

6. DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Competition or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the State of Nevada. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Competition, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Nevada, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Nevada or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Nevada.
