LAS VEGAS, Nevada, August 24, 2009 – Freed's Bakery's grand opening in 1959 was added to the official Las Vegas Sun timeline. Freed's Bakery is alongside other notable events like the construction of the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign in that same year and the Rat Pack's first performance in Vegas one year later in 1960.

Freed’s Bakery is celebrating their 50th anniversary serving Las Vegas, and has been featured on such shows as The Food Network’s “Roker on the Road,” “$40 a Day with Rachael Ray,” “Sugar Rush,” and “After Midnight.”  Freed’s has also been featured on Lifetime’s “Top This Party,” Hawaiian Airlines’ “The Best of Las Vegas,” and “Las Vegas Live.”  Freed’s has been featured in Bon Appétit, Martha Stewart Weddings, People’s Amazing Real Life Weddings, and Conde Nast Traveler.  Freed’s has been voted Best of Las Vegas by the Las Vegas Review Journal’s Reader’s Choice for the last 28 years, and has been recognized by AOL City’s Best and The Knot’s Best of Weddings 2008 & 2009.
